This list (compiled by two longtime The Hague locals) reflects a few of our favorite places in town — from our favorite local cafe just down the street from Huize Copes, to our favorite place for dinner.

Breakfast & Lunch in The Hague
Nibbles
Website: nibblesfoodanddrinks.com Location: Bankastraat 1B, 2585 EE Den Haag Why we love it: Super close to Huize Copes, Nibbles is great when you’re hungry but don’t want to venture too far. The terrace is tiny but super cute — and we love the decor inside, from the marble tabletops to the brick walls. Lots of choices here food-wise, too, from salads and burgers to delicious Flammekueche.
Teds

Why we love it: Teds serves all-day breakfast and brunch foods like Eggs Benedict and Philly Cheesesteaks. We love the variety here, and the interior is great, too. There are also nice boozy-brunch drinks to indulge in here.
Walter Benedict Website: walterbenedict.nl Location: Denneweg 69A, 2514 CE Den Haag Why we love it: One of our favorite neighborhood spots, Walter Benedict has the best cheesecake in town, hands down. We love the food and the nice vibe here, too. Plus, the outside terrace is a great place to sit on a sunny day.

Why we love it: We always head to Follia when we’re in the mood for Italian. Matching great quality with good prices, Follia is an easy go-to with all your favorite pizza and pasta options. Plus, we love the interior that feels very NYC Little Italy.
Oker

Why we love it: We love the fusion cuisine at Oker, combining the flavors of the Mediterranian and the spices of Asian cuisine. The atmosphere here is gorgeous, too, making it the perfect place for an elegant dinner out.
De Eetkamer van Scheveningen

Why we love it: With a literal translation to ‘The Dining Room,’ at De Eetkamer van Scheveningen, you can enjoy a casual (but scrumptious) dining experience. The place may look gezellig (cozy) and humble, but the plates always come out looking pretty and just as good as they taste. In town for a special occasion, or just want a treaat? Choose one of their 4,5 or 6-course dinner options.
